| All workshops and seminars focus on strenghts-based approaches and incorporate post-modern principles with the basic premise that the person her/himself is the expert on her/his own life. Therapy is thus geared towards utilizing the resources, strengths, and wisdom that the person brings to the therapist. Change comes from the person and through the person. The therapist's work is geared to elicit resources and responses that gently guide the person in the direction that they have chosen to move towards.
Psychotherapy is a therapeutic enterprise that can be viewed as eliciting resources to enter a spiritual process between the psyche and the mind. "Each person is a unique individual. Hence, psychotherapy should be formulated to meet the uniqueness of the individual's needs, rather than tailoring the person to fit the Procrustean bed of a hypothetical theory of human behavior" - Milton H. Erickson |
